This is a site done up by YUKINO Yoshi, who has the thankless job of being its producer, editor/writer, translator (for the rare articles submitted in Japanese), graphic artist, programmer (not just the FLASH appilcations and PHP scripting, but also writing an entire publishing/administration system for the site), as well as webslave-in-general....
Freetype ISN'T a commercial website (the administrator as well as contributors are running it off their own cash and time); it's just something I put together in the hope of promoting anime/manga and bishoujo character gaming to other fans. It's not a personal site either (even if I'm doing most of the work now...^^;); any fan interested in contributing to the site--whether in terms of articles or even just using the forums--is most welcome, although I have a certain standard to keep, and not all offers will be accepted (sumanai...).
What about the downloads and images?
Translate: What are the copyright issues here? Well, it depends on how you see them. Putting artwork and whatnot up for downloading without prior permission from companies that own them is, technically speaking, an infringement of copyright. But by providing free downloads like wallpapers and occasional services like electronic cards featuring popular themes and characters, this site can do its part in encouraging and promoting anime/manga and bishoujo games. Thus, Freetype's policy on this issue is this: it provides free services like those mentioned above, but will try to ensure that the artwork are of web quality and no more; copyrights for the artwork used are stated; the artwork is not used for profit-making, and generated revenue (if any) is used to maintain this site. It is in every fan's interest to keep these companies in business, and I hope users do the same by abiding by some of these rules when they download anything from Freetype.
Remember, Freetype is a non-profit site (and will remain so) created only to help promote an area in anime/manga and gaming that's been widely ignored, mis-represented, mis-intepreted, and even stigmatised by the English-speaking world and the press.

Also, please note that Freetype's coverage includes PC bishoujo gaming, and some of the sites Freetype links to may not be suitable for minors below the age of 18.
Use of Freetype Content
No part of the website is to be copied, distributed, transmitted, sold or reproduced in any form without prior consent from Freetype. For items such as wallpapers in the DOWNLOADS section, users are free to download them into their PCs FOR THEIR PERSONAL USE ONLY. Also, copyrights that appear in downloadable items (such as wallpapers and movie clips) are NOT to be removed. Hosting of such material on another site other than Freetype without our written consent is also not allowed. The use of Freetype material for the purpose of profit is strictly prohibited.
Got a product you want reviewed?
Most of the products reviewed in Freetype are bought using the reviewer's expenses, so one can imagine how stretched we get most of the time. Any company (game publishers, developers, distributors etc) interested in sending us review/preview copies of their games, or even promo materials like brochures and posters, will be most welcome.
